So...where do the buttons go??
I was lucky enough to see just exactly where some of my lovely buttons ended up when I strolled back into Rachel's shop, TICKLEWORM, on Etsy awhile back! I met Rachel during a "Sneak Attack" (Check out HandmadeMovement.com to learn all about those fun events where we sneak up on unsuspecting shops and BUY from them!)
She recently received some lovely pinkies from Little Red Cottage. :)
She used the pink buttons to accent the front cover of her handmade Lemon Rasberry Orange Sorbet Pouch! So very pretty..and just the right little touch!

California Rolls!
Here is another layout I created last week for the 'Ohana Kit.....this one shows my more linear side...straight lines, even borders, etc.
No worries though....I ran this through my sewing machine...it's hard to see in the photograph, but there is a nice zig-zag line going all around the Cosmo Cricket paper on the left...and some nice, big, funky handstitches with a nice, warm shad of embroidery floss actually sewn through the photos themselves.
This is my nephew, Joshua. He is a lot older than these photographs...he is a Freshman is High School just like my daughter. He lovessssss Wasabiiiiiiiiii!!
That's my kitchen in the background...we have those white square ceramic tiles that are so hard to keep clean...........but they they are almost starting to look vintage to me....especially with all the bits of aqua that I like to keep in there...I am almost sorry to think about redoing them someday.

Home ....a recent creation....all ready for Thanksgiving!
Love the warm colors in this kit...they all pop with the aqua colors in the cardstock ...the fabulous aqua canvas Thickers in the add-on kit.
The 'Ohana kit included an ENTIRE PACK of dark brown Jenni Bowlin Bingo cards.....so I sewed each of them onto a piece of the aqua cardstock. I am noticing that lately I really love to cut out bits and pieces of the ACTUAL PACKAGING and/or LABELS..hehe..of products to use in my work....Jenni Bowlin products have been particularly fun for that, and I cut apart the tiny examples of each bingo card from the insert within the pack so I could use them in my work.
I punched holes with my trusty crop-o-dile....and used silver book rings to hold it all together.
I placed the Scenic Route stickers onto a nice brown cardstock, and cut them out...leaving a bit of a chipboard edge to them....this gives the stickers a little more punch.
I stapled vintage-feeling cream ribbon onto several edges of the pages to create some soft "tabs", and then added buttons, velvet flowers, and other little embellishments.
I can hardly wait to fill this up with little photos from Thanksgiving! :)
