I Started Spring Break with some CREATIVITY.....

..........and good times with fun friends...and the most incredible potluck I have ever taken part in!! Yay! :)

Here is one of the layouts I created last night.......it was *mostly* with the super cool items to be found in one of Color Me Miki's April kits...to be released on 3/31...but I did digress on this one, I added some lovely GIRL FRIDAY from COSMO CRICKET on it....happy happy happy...LOVE LOVE LOVE that chipboard sheet....and sewing (of course!) and buttons.....this is a photo of Kristina holding her flower bouquets from her 8th grade promotion last June....she loved her flowers...and figures, we left for our family vacation the day after....so I took photos...knowing the flowers would not look so hot when we got back! ;)

I did some other yummie layouts, and a very "green" little mini album with the April Kit......I'll be posting more after my girl Terri releases the kit for the entire paper crafting world to see! ;)

I am feeling so FREE being on SPRING BREAK now..........that I have another giveaway planned, I'll post it soon! :)

Scrap Fx Chipboard Die Cuts ......now available at Little Red Cottage!

This was one of my most anticipated orders from the tradeshow back in January....Scrap FX has the coolest naturally colored chipboard embellishments.....ever!! :)

It was hard to choose, they literally have 100s of great choices, but I finally settled on trees, apples, owls, birds, butterflies, cogs/gears (for the guys!), and bees and a few other goodies........go check them out in the Scrapbook Embellishment Section of the cottage!

Pictured is the "Medium Tree". (I saw the coolest layout with one of these trees in the Sassafras Lass booth...oh joy...I need to scrap soon!)

We definitely have Spring Fever....

....and I desperately need a trip. How about........

Catalina!!?!? (it's a fun li'l island off the coast of Southern California.)

Ok......how about a button pack named after the island in the meantime?? :) These would be perfect for your beach, sunset, or outdoors projects!

I cannot thank you sweet people enough for all the fabulous ideas for button packs...the color combinations........the names, oh the names! You guys are good at this! ;) But it really does help to see what people are needing and wanting!

Shown up above is one of the newest button packs........Flower Fields....here in North County San Diego we have the gorgeous Carlsbad Flower Fields to gawk at every spring..and my sweet friend Lindylou was inspired by them...thank you! It was a fun, bright to do!

As for me........spend a long time the doctor's office slash x-ray office today.....child #1 hurdled a little too hard during warmups last night, and twisted her ankle really bad...........x-ray doesn't show a fracture, but doc is concerned because it's very swollen in the spot typical for ankle fractures...sigh.....we'll spend all Monday afternoon with the ortho. She is a trooper though!!

Color Me Miki's .....March Kit "Scarlet" ....

.........was so much fun to work with! You'll find lots of black, white, tan, and RED patterned papers by Prima and other manufacturers to create with, as well lots and lots of fun embellishments......Thickers in one of my most favorite fonts, and in RED, (hmmm.........I'm starting to wonder why I loved this kit so much!).

Here I created a 6x12 layout...I found a bit of yellow on the back sides of one of the patterned papers, and it just went perfectly with some Mayfield Diary Farm photos we had from our trip to Tennessee last summer........by the way, Tennessess is soooo pretty.......so green.....loved it there!

Check out "Scarlet" at Color Me Miki.......and while you are there take a peek at her kid sister, "Ruby"...she is the perfect add-on kit...to work in a splash of pink and lime green with all the terrific basics in this kit!

(Just wait til you see April's Kit(s??) Oh my....my, my, my.........LOVE THEM!!!!!!) Lots of precious goodies from a very sweet company included...got to love them...they are "little" too. ;)

The Easter Bunny (Bunnies?) arrived early!

And he brought three brothers and sisters with him! I keep thinking of Beatrix Potter's stories when I go into my shop.. :)
